| Lighthouse is an opportunity to develop environment and safety issues within shipping. In the future, it will also be necessary for the shipping industry to collaborate closely with economists, logisticians, charterers and naval architects. Lighthouse will open up the potential for achieving this. Lighthouse is a cooperation of competence in the maritime sector. The base for the cooperation is formed by Chalmers University of Technology, School of Business, Economics and Law at Göteborg University and the Swedish Shipowners´ Association. |
The vision is that Lighthouse will be the first choice for research, education and innovation for the shipping industry. The mission of Lighthouse is to communicate new competence in areas that is of future interest to the Swedish shipping industry with special focus on Environment, Economics, Human Factors, Safety and Logistics.

| The Lindholmen Science Park company operates Open Arena Lindholmen and Test Site Sweden, with unique opportunities for interaction between business, academia and society. At Visual Forum you will have the opportunity to participate in demonstrations of our two driving simulators. One is used in the R&D work within the security area and the other one is a part of development projects in the area of Active Safety Systems and HMI. |
One of the key goals of Lindholmen Science Park is to stimulate collaboration between industry and academia. The focus is on Mobile Data Communications, Intelligent Vehicles and Transport Systems, Modern Media and Design. The principal owners of Lindholmen Science Park AB are Ericsson, Volvo Cars, the Volvo Group, Saab AB, Swedish National Road Administration, the City of Göteborg, Chalmers University of Technology, Göteborg University, Business Region Göteborg and TeliaSonera.
