VIRTUAL WORLDS & FUTURE INTERNET
Using the Virtual worlds such as Entropia Universe and Second Life as examples, this closing seminar will focus on the future of the internet. Speakers will show examples and discuss potentials and possibilities with virtual worlds. What are they used for, who is using them and what do they look like are issues that will be addressed. Where are virtual worlds going and what impact will it have on future internet.

Peter Blom Interaction designer

| Peter currently works as interaction designer with game developer Jadestone. He has worked with design, programming, and project management, mainly within the new media field (web design, game design, art installations). Peter has also developed and held masters courses in new media (web/game design, new media in exhibitions) at LinköpingUniversity for a number of years and presented work at Siggraph 2004. Peter has s broad background with experience from fields such as film, advertising, events, festivals, and the art world. He was director of IT-ceum — The swedish computer museum for two years. Studies include Aesthetics, Social Psychology, programming, and media production. He also has roots in the demo scene subculture. |
