Now the process starts of building Lindholmen Visual Arena![]()
The process of creating Lindholmen Visual Arena in Gothenburg has now started. The Arena will be an open community where new jobs in the Gothenburg region will be created by the use of advanced visualization tools such as 3D technology.
In April, the City of Gothenburg decided to invest 15 million SEK over five years to build a large-scale visual arena at Lindholmen Science Park. With Visualization tools it will be possible to develop and design new products in computers. In addition, it will be possible through 3D experiences to provide realistic images of how large planned community projects, such as the Västlänken and the Centrala Älvstaden, might look like in reality.
The new Lindholmen Visual Arena is scheduled to be operational by this year´s end. This new Arena is the latest addition to Lindholmen Science Park which is an international development environment where industry, education and society successfully can work together. Andreas Göthberg is the head of Center of Visualization Göteborg, that is operated by Business Region Göteborg, Chalmers University of Technology and local Businesses. - Gothenburg is now placing a good foundation for great development opportunities. This will create new jobs in a number of identified projects connected to this new arena. Niklas Wahlberg, CEO of Lindholmen Science Park - Lindholmen Visual Arena fits well into the structure of Lindholmen Science Park and will be valuable resource for both existing and future research projects. We want to offer an international development environment. Lindholmen Visual Arena will be a valuable resource with its complex and expensive technology.
