Call for papers SIGRAD, the Swedish Chapter of Eurographics, invites contributions to the conference SIGRAD 2011, which will be held May 2 2011 at Lindholmen Science Park in Göteborg, Sweden. SIGRAD 2011 is taking place in connection to the Visual Forum 2011 conference held May 3 in Göteborg. More information about Visual Forum 2011 is available at: http://www.visualforum.org/
The theme of this year's conference is “DIGITAL CITIES: Computer Graphics and the Built Environment". SIGRAD 2011 seeks to explore the significance of computer graphics for architectural visualization. How can algorithmic thinking support digital fabrication, material exploration, and performance analyses in built environments?
Topics for submissions include but are not limited to the following areas:
· Visualization tools in planning processes
· Architectural visualization and simulation
· Designing solutions for form, pattern, surface and structure in Architecture
· Real-time lighting effects
· Solutions and algorithms for virtual/augmented reality applications
· Computational techniques for design explorations
· Real-time rendering
· Collaborative visualization
· Virtual and Interactive Environments
· Parametric design
· Non-realistic rendering
Important deadlines
Paper submission deadline: April 15, 2011
Author notification: April 20, 2011
Conference registration is open until: April 30, 2011
Instructions to the authors
Submissions may be full papers or short papers.
Full papers should not exceed 10 pages in length. Short papers, describing novel ideas, work-in-progress and/or recent results, should be no longer than 4 pages. Note that both types of submissions must be formatted according to the same recommended style mentioned below, and all accepted papers will be published in the Proceedings of the conference.
